Project Manager
The Project Manager is responsible for the delivery of projects on new and existing customer sites throughout the UK. Projects typically involve the specification, procurement, installation and commissioning of process water or waste water systems and equipment.
Key requirements are the ability to manage multiple projects on remote sites, conforming to required technical, quality, safety and environmental standards, delivering projects within budget, managing in-house resources and, where required, subcontract installation personnel and other group company resources to optimise delivery, capability and profitability.
This is a key role in developing the business throughout the UK and will involve significant exposure at senior levels within Client organisations, a complex engineering and commercial skillset and the ability to influence those outwith your direct line responsibility.
Knowledge & Experience
Extensive experience in a full project management role in a contractor delivery environment Must have mechanical engineering background Experience within industrial water sector is preferred over municipal Experience of water and wastewater treatment projects Knowledge of pumps, valves, piping, vessels, materials etc as applied to water industry applications Knowledge of motors, instrumentation, control panels and analysers, plus field installation/hook up of this equipment Able to demonstrate full financial responsibility of small to medium scale capital projects Able to demonstrate full commercial awareness of complex model form contracts (IChem E, NEC, JCT etc) Able to demonstrate programme management responsibility of a small to medium capital and revenue projects Experience of direct customer contact and supplier/vendor contact at a multitude of levels Knowledge of water industry norms and standards.
Education & Training
HNC/HND or Degree qualified in engineering discipline (mechanical bias) Formal Commercial or Contract qualification Formal Project Management qualification (APMP or equivalent)
