Operations Manager
Avenue Recruitment are looking for an Operations Manager who will be responsible for operating, optimising and improving the water and/or wastewater assets at an Industrial customers site.
This position will involve all aspects of the plant - process operations, maintenance and asset care, development projects, resource, risk, cost management and control and overall optimisation.
The Operations Manager is expected to drive operational excellence and significantly improve the reliability and efficiency of the wastewater systems. In addition the Operations Manager is responsible for ensuring the collection of water and waste water samples and analysis in the on-site Laboratory.
The successful applicant will be the company's key full time presence with full customer facing responsibility in addition to managing the on site relationships.
Required:
- Water / waste water experience performing in a leadership role.
- To be able to demonstrate through previous work experience technical and operational knowledge one or more areas of water / waste water treatment.
- Experience working directly with a Customer including attending, facilitating and contributing to meetings
- Leadership experience in the management of a team of operators, skilled technicians and engineers
- Project management experience beneficial
- PC literacy
- Time management skills
- Sludge disposal / waste management knowledge is beneficial
Education / Training
- Background in Waste water treatment/Chemistry / Chemical engineering
- Certificate/training in Quality, Environmental, Health and Safety systems
Please note that the successful candidate should be prepared to develop, travel and support contracts anywhere in the UK as and when required.
